Under the slogan "Together, Change Has Meaning," the Viewing Hall at the Faculty of Arts and Education, Sabratha hosted a workshop on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, titled "The Role of Public and Private Institutions in Supporting Kidney and Cancer Patients". The workshop was organized by the Faculty of Arts and Education in collaboration with the Police Retirees Organization of the Western Region, the Kindergarten Office of Zawiya West Municipality, the Social Solidarity Fund, and the Rishti Basmaty Organization.

The workshop included several speeches and interventions that emphasized the role of community institutions in serving society, particularly kidney and cancer patients, with the aim of alleviating their suffering and providing psychological, social, and financial support.

The workshop also emphasized the need for practical steps to be taken in reality that reflect the role of community institutions towards all patients. Additionally, the workshop featured a theatrical presentation by the students of the college, where they portrayed the struggles of kidney patients in terms of inadequate attention from the responsible authorities and the poor medical services at specialized centers.

The workshop was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Education, the directors of various offices, heads of academic departments, faculty members, the President of the Police Retirees Organization of the Western Region, the Director of the Social Solidarity Fund Office in Sabratha, the Director of the National Cancer Treatment Institute in Sabratha, the Director of the Kidney Dialysis Department at Sabratha Teaching Hospital, the Vice President for Branch Affairs at the Libyan Academy, the Advisor to the President of the Academy, the Head of the Environmental Engineering Department at the Libyan Academy, the Director of the Cavalry, Theater, and Arts Office, along with many academics, stakeholders, and interested parties.
